Most of us have nicknames given by our friends, families.. or enemies... I do have one too. It is BINKY. You are probably wondering what does this name mean? I am actually wondering the same thing. At least, I can explain how I got this name.
It all started few years back when I shot with Ivan Otis (www.ivanotis.com) for UMM magazine (www.umm.ca). The shoot went great, we've got some amazing results. I was pretty excited to see this shot in magazine and I couldn't wait to get this tearsheet for my modeling portfolio. Few of my friends already got the issue and emailed me to get the magazine to look at the funny spelling of my name. I quickly ran to few stores until I found the UMM issue. To my surprise, they were right. Not only my name, but also all other info was wrong. Here it is:

Let me correct this:
Name: ZEBINKA (should be Zdenka)
Age: 20 (add few more years... I was actually 24)
Agency: Broadbelt and Fonte (this one is correct strangely enough)
Dream Car: Ferrari 308 (I don't remember anyone asking me what kind of car I like. I don't like Ferrari 308 at all. I really do like F430 Spider!)
Xmas Wish: unlimited "Gold Card" limit (This one really got me going. Everyone around me knows that I am not a high maintenance girl. I hate shopping and spending money. I rather go somewhere hiking, running or simply spending time with my family. My Xmas Wish would be: to have my parents from Czech republic here with me.
Last year, Paul Buceta (www.paulbuceta.com) called me and
said: "Hi Binky"... I had no idea what does he mean and why he said Binky. Later on, he explained that he had a
good laugh over the wrong spelling of my name. The story is not ending here though....
Last month, UMM magazine published another photo of me. Well, as I already thought, my name was misspelled again.

This time my name was spelled ZLENKA. Come on people! It is ZDENKA. At least the comment below my name was right this time. I couldn't help but email the editor of UMM about this when they sent me interview questions. They even made fun of it... see it for yourself:
