Vacation in Czech!

I am sitting down and thinking how I should change my website. It has the same look for a long time now. I always get like that when I am rested. I have tons of ideas in my head. What to shoot, how to design... just rested. Why?

It was December 21st when I was just leaving to the airport. Yes, I went home to visit my family.... and to get married. Yes, that is true. I can finally announce it. I got married Aug. 18th 2007 in Oshawa?... which was a small civil wedding with our close friends. January 12th, 2008 was our second church wedding with our families in Czech and Slovakia. We simply repeated the whole thing just for our parents.

How was Christmas home? I cannot tell you how happy I was to be home again. It has been 11 years since I am away. 11 years I have been celebrating Christmas without my parents. It felt very special and strange at the same time. We all got older, have our own lives... I am no longer the little girl my parents used to have. My Grandma is 85 years old. It was so great to have her around.

After Christmas, I went to my parent's cottage where I did cross-country skiing, hiking and just resting. I needed that week. That place in the mountains is my most favorite place in the whole world. There is nothing better... not even Caribbean. I just love the smell of wood and quiet. I love watching animals walk around. So there you go... as simple as that.

Another good day was my birthday. I got the best present ever. I was able to spend it with my parents and my new husband. I was looking forward to it very long time and finally it came true. We simply made toast and then went outside to make some winter barbeque and have few drinks.... well....very strong drinks. It is called "Slivovica" and I can tell you that we had great time.

New Years, was also happening at the cottage. You should see the fireworks. People were showing off who's got better one. Yeah, that was the old 2007. What did I do after that? We went to Slovakia, where we were preparing for our wedding. On the big day, I felt like a little girl in a wonderland. My Dad was walking me down the isle... I was wearing white wedding gown.... we were dancing and singing until 5am. It was trully happy weddding.

Last day was very difficult. I always take hard saying good-bye. I cry and cry.... and I still cry... even when I am writing this. Who knows when I am going to go there again? Hopefully soon....

On the way back in Prague, I stopped by at the convenience store to pick up few magazines to read in the airplane. Guess what? Big suprise was waiting for me. One of the magazines had my photo on it... front cover.... another one! I was really happy because it was my first cover in Czech republic. I must say, it was trully the best vacation yet!!!!
